Kitchen renovation in Waltair Uplands
Waltair Uplands is one of Visakhapatnam's oldest good addresses, close to the sea, with family houses that have been lived in for generations alongside newer towers. In the older homes the kitchen often predates modular cabinetry altogether — masonry platforms, open shelves, a single exhaust fan — and a kitchen renovation in Waltair Uplands is a full replacement rather than a refresh.
Kitchen Stories plans it from its showroom in Dwaraka Nagar, about 3 km away. The kitchen is Häcker's, built to order in Rödinghausen, Germany and fitted by factory-trained teams; your contractor removes the old platforms and prepares water, drainage, power and gas to the points on our drawing.
Indicative pricefrom about ₹15 lakhfor the kitchen itself — cabinets, fronts and fitting. Appliances, worktop and your contractor's work are separate.

Replacing a masonry kitchen means the room is effectively rebuilt: platforms broken out, walls made good, floor re-laid, services re-routed. That is the moment to fix the things a platform kitchen never had — ventilation ducted to the outside, sockets where appliances will stand, and a floor level the cabinets can sit on true.
Before work starts
Vizag's sea air is salt air. Specify the hood duct, the sink and taps and any exposed metal with the coast in mind, and ask your contractor to seal the wall penetrations for the duct properly. Häcker's cabinets are factory-finished with water-resistant edges; the details around them are what the coast tests.

Kitchen renovation in Waltair Uplands — common questions
Can an old masonry kitchen in Waltair Uplands be replaced with a modular one?
Yes. Your contractor breaks out the platforms, makes good the walls and floor and moves the services to the points on our drawing; the Häcker kitchen is then fitted to the finished room. The planner measures the existing room first so the drawing and quotation are ready before any demolition starts.
